Pick and Pack Distribution Will Increase Productivity and Reduce Cost with the I-Pack ® and Ultipack ® Packaging Systems

I-Pack and Ultipack, two tray forming, product protection, and lidding systems from Sealed Air Automation, offer high volume distribution centers a unique opportunity to increase productivity and reduce cost in many facets of their operation.

Both systems are being used to package a wide range of products, including CD and DVD, office supplies, and pharmaceuticals.

Each system has a Tray Forming Module and a Lidding Module. In between, I-Pack uses a Void Elimination Module to reduce the size of the tray to the match size of the contents; Ultipack uses a Void Containment Module to insert a wedge into the tray and stabilize the contents. (See diagrams below.)

The systems are engineered for durability and flexibility, and can be adapted to virtually any packaging line configuration and requirements. Among the many productivity and cost saving benefits of these packaging systems:
