Shorr Returns as a Platinum Sponsor at Operations Summit 2018
For multiple years, Shorr Packaging has joined other big-name companies at the Operations Summit as a Platinum Sponsor to help educate attendees on the latest packaging trends in ecommerce operations and fulfillment.
This year, at the Columbus Convention Center (Columbus, OH), Shorr provided in-depth demos of both Sharp and Pregis automated packaging equipment at Booth #504.
Shorr Equipment Specialists helped attendees about some of the innovative strategies and tactics that are involved in successful packaging automation.
Demos of the Sharp Bagger, a Dehnco Workstation, Pregis Fit and Easypack Quantum where shown to many show guests. The demonstrations helped them learn more about boosting productivity with automated equipment and figuring out ways to cutting costs.
On Thursday, April 5th, Jim Burns, Shorr's Marketing Director, teamed up with Martin Hickey (Fruit of the Loom) and Harry Drajpuch (Amware Logistics) to discuss the topic, "Smart Packaging Options to Stay Ahead of Rising Parcel Shipping Costs".
Discussion covered the largest fulfillment-related expense - shipping costs; and also went over how product packaging can help cut freight expenses and boost profits. In the session the Experts from Shorr, Fruit of the Loom and Amware Logistics also helped identify common mistakes and explored a range of packaging options to drive down the costs of shipping.
