CALIFORNIA TRANSPARENCY IN SUPPLY CHAINS ACT OF 2010 DISCLOSURE

BACKGROUND

Shorr Packaging Corp. (Shorr) is an industry-leading, employee-owned distributor of packaging products, equipment and services, founded in 1922. In 2010 the State of California enacted the Transparency in Supply Chains Act. The Act requires certain companies doing business in California to disclose information on their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their supply chain for goods offered for sale.

OUR COMMITMENT

As an employee-owned company, Shorr is committed to free enterprise, proper work conditions and fair compensation to workers. Slavery and human trafficking are contrary to our values and to what we stand for at Shorr. But unfortunately, slavery and human trafficking continue to exist in today’s world. Slavery and human trafficking refer to use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labor or anyone held in slavery or servitude. Shorr is committed to avoiding slavery and trafficking in our business. We expect the same from our vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

OUR ACTIONS

Shorr is committed to avoidance of modern slavery in our business and supply chain. The company is assessing whether and to what extent we should develop specific standards, such as a program of internal accountability, training, supplier certification requirements, audits and other verification steps regarding suppliers. Shorr intends to update this Statement as warranted by developments in this assessment.
